Elisabeth Frankel is a theatre-maker based in New York City. She works in a variety of roles, including as a playwright, a director of her own plays, a director of other artists' plays, a dramaturg, producer, and teaching artist.
In addition to developing new work, Elisabeth is passionate about reinterpreting classic works through a modern, intersectional feminist perspective. Elisabeth is inspired by theatre that explores the human condition through an ambitious, adventurous theatricality.
Elisabeth has a BFA in Theatre Directing from the University of Michigan (Go Blue), and an MFA in Playwriting from Columbia University.
